Skills Lab

A space to learn and practise skills, one step at a time.

The kinds of skills this approach covers

SHE's Skills Lab is designed around the areas below. Each one is taught the same way: explanation, modelling, guided practice, real-life application, reflection, adjustment and maintenance — not passive reading.

  • Grounding and stabilization Simple ways to feel more steady and present in a difficult moment.
  • Emotion regulation Naming, understanding and working with emotions as they come up.
  • Anxiety, worry and uncertainty Skills for anxiety, worry, avoidance and living with uncertainty.
  • Thinking and problem-solving Thinking through problems and considering different ways to approach them.
  • Self-compassion and self-criticism Working with shame and self-criticism, and being kinder to yourself.
  • Assertiveness and boundaries Speaking up, setting boundaries, and having difficult conversations.
  • Relationships Understanding relationships, conflict, repair, trust and asking for support.
  • Sleep and recovery Habits that support sleep and everyday recovery.
  • Grief, loss and meaning Practices for grief, loss, and finding meaning.
  • Trauma-informed stabilization Stabilization approaches that are trauma-informed and never attempt trauma processing on their own.
  • Decisions and values Making decisions, clarifying what matters to you, and planning action.
  • Recognising warning signs Recognising early warning signs and planning for recovery.

This list shows the areas this approach is designed to eventually cover. It is not a list of what is published yet — see below for what is actually available right now.

Nothing has been published here yet — real lessons appear only once they have been reviewed and approved.
